The program serves as a resource to enhance the educational, cultural, social and professional lives of young alumni. Think back to your years at Pitzer. Did you make the most of your experiences? What professors pushed you to step out of your comfort zone? Did you voice your vote on student senate? How did you challenge difference of opinions? What impact did YOU leave in the Pitzer community? I am confident in my fellow alumni/alumnae and the vision we all share for a greater global/local community. Pitzer provided us with the tools and resources necessary in utilizing our education to TRASFORM THE WORLD!
As we near our 50th year of establishment, it is now more important than ever that we continue sharing these experiences and further our support for the college that we all once called “home”. Pitzer College will always be your second home. The community, students, faculty, staff and administration offer a truly engaging experience like no other liberal arts institution in America. We create our own history at Pitzer as we move towards a more sustainable and progressive institution year after year and this is all made possible with your continued support in the alumni community.
So this is my challenge to you: Take your Pitzer College education and our core values of social responsibility, intercultural understanding, interdisciplinary learning, student engagement, along with environmental sustainability and apply this foundation to EVERYTHING that you will accomplish in life! Remember, no matter what your future entails post-graduation, you must learn to fail early and fail often!
